On Monday, May 14, Ethan and Charlotte came to our classroom to tell us about their Learning Fair Projects!
First Ethan told us all about the Strasbourg Railroad using his poster board to show and describe many important facts!
Next Charlotte used her poster board and riding equipment to tell us all about driving miniature horses!!!
The first graders learned a lot and asked some good questions!! Maybe some of them will think more about being part of the Learning Fair next year!!!
Thank you Ethan and Charlotte for sharing your special projects!!! You both did a great job!!!
On Friday, May 11, we held a special celebration for our moms/grandmoms in our classroom. The children greeted their special guests with a flower and then had their pictures taken together by Mrs. Shimoda. In the classroom we said some poems and sang some songs, including a special one called Mama, a Rose, which Ms. D taught the children to sign. The children had decorated a book called If You Give a Mom a Muffin and read it to their moms and grandsons. Our class made chocolate chip cookies that we had along with some muffins and some special treats to eat and lemonade and tea to drink. While they were eating the kids interviewed their special guests about which of two things they preferred to do!!! It was a fun celebration!!!
