We have been lucky to have Mrs. Nablo part of our classroom family these past several months while Mrs. Thompson has been on leave. We had an ice cream party and gave her homemade cards to thank her for all of her help. We look forward to seeing Mrs. Nablo at Burr as a substitute. We love you, Mrs. Nablo!
Each Friday our class explorers Makerspace with Mrs. Johnson. We just finished designing our own keychains using the program, Tinkercad. The will be made by using our 3D printer so that every child can have their own keychain that they created! We are also creating an elephant out of recyclable bottles. Thanks for all the donations of bottles. The children are working together to are this amazing class project! Once it is completed you will see the elephant standing in the front hallway! We can’t wait to show off this classroom project!
What Is better than celebrating Valentine’s Day with your first grade friends? Our class loved exchanging special friendship messages with each other on Valentine’s Day. We had a wonderful celebration with our friends and lots of family members. Thank you to John’s mom for organizing the great classroom party!
Our class is anxiously awaiting Valentine’s Day! Our boxes are almost complete and looking forward to having them filled with special messages from each other!
We had lots of fun celebrating the 100th day of school today! Many of the children dressed up to look 100 years old.
To end the week on a fun note, our class wore slippers or fun socks during our reading time. Our fourth grade buddies visited our room and listened to us read while we were wearing our fun footwear!
The students are having fun working in Makerspace! We are designing our own keychains using Tinkercad. Eventually these will be made using the 3D printer. We can’t wait until we have our own keychains to bring home!
