To keep with the spirit of Valentine's Day, I wrote a reason each day stating why I love our class. This is displayed outside our classroom for all to read and enjoy. So blessed to have such a wonderful group of children in my class.
Our class has been learning about different type of poetry during reading and writing workshop. On Valentine's Day, the students paired up and wrote wonderful attributes about each other. These were acrostic poem!
Our Valentine's Day boxes are ready for our valentines. Thank you for supplying shoeboxes so this project could happen. Now your child can start bringing in his/her valentines!
Our class had lots of fun celebrating the 100th day of school together. Thank you for bringing in 100 objects to school. We had fun trying to guess what the objects were by the creative clues. We then sorted the objects by various ways. The children had so much fun. We had several students dress up like they were 100 years old. What a fun-filled day!
Our class has begun Project Lead the Way (PLTW)! What a wonderful opportunity. Mrs Adina Johnson, our LEAP teacher, is leading these hands on science activities. Our class will begin learning about light and sound. Through discovery, the students will learn about these two subjects. We will be visiting Mrs. Johnson's room at least once a week for the next several weeks! I am sure your children will be excited to share with you all of the things they are learning during PLTW.
Thanks to the Marshall family for bringing in some testy treats to celebrate Gound Hog Day! They were a huge hit!
