We practice our math facts with fun games. Some of these have been sent home for your child to play with you. Enjoy!
For our science unit we have been learning about what you need to make a shadow. The children had fun tracing their shadows in the morning, noon time, and afternoon. We also talked about how the length of the shadow changed depending on the direction of the sun.
Thank you to the the Food Service Department for providing each child an apple. These were sent home at the end of the day for all to enjoy during the weekend!
Yum!!! The applesauce was a delicious way to end the week. We enjoying smelling the apples cooking all day long while we were busy working in our classroom. Everyone enjoyed eating the treat at the end of the day. We were able to share with other teachers and our principal, too. Thank you for sending in apples!
Thank you to the Haddam volunteers firefighters for visiting our school to discuss fire safety. Their presentation was very informative! We all learned a lot about what to do in case there was a fire.
We have had lots of fun learning about digraphs in school. Using the smart board to practice incorporating these digraphs is always special!
The children have been learning their doubles facts at school. We are learning to play lots of games that help us learn these math facts!
Exciting news! We have begun our new unit reading called, Word Detectives! Every day we are receiving “top secret” missions that we need to apply in our reading! The children are super excited to read their missions each day!
Congratulations to Ella and Kyra for being our first two students of the week! Their pictures were hung outside our classroom along with wonderful reasons why they are special friends! Every child will have an opportunity to be Student of the Week!
