Tomorrow the class will be celebrating the holiday with a small party in our classroom. All parents are welcome to attend. The party starts at 11:30. The students will be enjoying a brunch together and then enjoying some crafts. We will be eating in the classroom. Your child does not need a lunch. However, if they feel they will not like the brunch items you may send in a lunch for them to eat.
Today the children are bringing home their "suitcases" and holiday journals. The journals have the written information about the holidays and countries we traveled to. The suitcases are holding all of their souvenirs that the children made to bring back from the countries. Enjoy looking through them together. They helped us learn that most of the traditions we have in America when celebrating Christmas and other winter holidays are traditions that came from other countries. It was such fun traveling and learning where each of these traditions came from.
